Ben Hodkinson almost bagged a hat trick as he took a shot as the ball was bouncing but his effort went wide of the goal.

Just over ten minutes into the second half Vauxhall Motors found their way to leading the game with goals from Nick Rushton sealing his hat trick in dramatic fashion. Bootle had completely lost control the game at this point.

Veteran Kevin Ellison came off the bench to score Vauxhall’s fifth goal of the game, deservedly the visitors went 5-3 up. Sam Hughes prevented Paddy Kay from scoring a sixth for Vauxhall Motors with a last ditch tackle in the area, superb defending from Hughes.

Ben Hodkinson attempted to pull one back for Bootle but his shot went straight into the hands of Jack Atkinson. Minutes later Conor Rankin put away his rebounded effort off the post in front of an open goal which was the last nail in Bootle’s coffin.
