Bootle crash out of the FA Cup after derby day disaster in a 3-1 defeat to City Of Liverpool.

The visitors got off to a rather fast start to the game as Arthur Lomax Jones played a ball across the face of the Bootle goal but nobody could quite get on the end of it for The Purps. The same happened when Kyle Scorah attempted to assist an opening as City Of Liverpool contributed to knock on the door.
The visitors found an opening just after the half an hour mark as Arthur Lomax Jones struck the ball into the far side of Tony Thompson’s net putting his side 1-0 up. Only three minutes later City Of Liverpool doubled their lead as Elliott Morris found an opening after sloppy defending from Bootle.
The second half seen Bootle get off to a much better start and after a deflected Sean Williams free kick found its way into the back of the net and pulled a goal back for The Bucks.
Bootle continued to push for an equaliser as the second half went on, however, just after the eightieth minute mark, Sean Williams and Baba Conteh both received a red card for violent conduct.
Despite efforts from Bootle to push for the equaliser, Elliot Morris was once again on the scoresheet after a successfully executed counter attack would seal a 3-1 win for The Purps and advance into the next round of the FA Cup.
