Bootle take on Newcastle Town in today’s fixture at The Berry Street Garage Stadium as The Bucks look to pick up their second win in 2025. Newcastle Town sit four places above Bootle in the league standings, however, there is only a one point different between the two clubs.

Last week a successful outing for Bootle as they beat Clitheroe by two goals to nil at home thanks to goals from Sam Hughes and Sean Williams, beforehand The Bucks went five games without picking up a win and Mick McGraa will be looking to build on the result and performance. Although today’s visitors Newcastle Town could potentially be a tough test for Bootle.
Newcastle Town’s last win was on January 4th against local rivals Stafford Rangers which seen The Castle win 2-1, since then however, Neil Baker’s side have only picked up a point in their last two fixtures. A win on Merseyside today in front of their travelling fans would be the ideal way to get back to winning ways.

The Manager: Neil Baker has recently managed Leek Town before joining Newcastle Town and also spent time on the coaching staff at Macclesfield. He also been chief scout, assistant manager and caretaker manager at Crewe Alexandra.
The Ground: The club play at the Lyme Valley Stadium, next to the Lyme Brook on Buckmaster Avenue. The ground doubles as a velodrome with a cycling track around the pitch. The ground includes a seated stand on one side of the pitch and a covered standing terrace on the other. Both ends of the ground consist of uncovered standing areas. It currently has a capacity of 4,000, of which 300 is seated and 1,000 covered. The ground also currently hosts Stoke City Reserves.
