On Tuesday evening, The Bucks travel to Runcorn to take on hosts Runcorn Linnets in the Liverpool Senior Cup in an attempt to gain a place in the next round of the competition.

On Saturday Bootle were defeated 4-2 at home by Widnes which means unfortunately the bad run of form continues for Mick McGraa’s squad. Nonetheless in Saturday’s post match interview with Bucks TV, the gaffer described the LCFA Senior Cup fixture as “massive” and insisted he will feature a full strength squad. Last season The Bucks only got as far as the quarter final of the competition and were knocked out by Prescot Cables with a 1-0 away defeat, however this year Mick McGraa will be hoping for a more optimistic run in the competition.
The hosts Runcorn Linnets look to be battling for a place in the play off positions by the end of the season and have collected 10 points in their last 6 outings but currently sit 7th in the table. Linnets are coming off a 1-0 away win against City Of Liverpool on the weekend and will be looking to build on that result tonight in an attempt to kick off a campaign to clinch their first ever Liverpool Senior Cup winners medals. The closest Runcorn Linnets came to lifting the trophy was in 2023 narrowly losing to Marine 4-3 in a penalty shootout in the final of the competition.
