We hope all Bootle fans had a Merry Christmas as we host Runcorn Linnets here on our Boxing Day fixture at The Berry Street Garage Stadium.
By Brendan Doyle
December hasn’t quite been the festive month for The Bucks as they’ve only managed to pick up 4 points in 4 games. Bootle are also in need of a home win since their last was in mid October in a 5-2 win against Stalybridge Celtic, but a win against Runcorn Linnets who currently sit 8th in the table (5 places higher than Bootle) would certainly end 2024 on a high for the club.
The Linnets approach today’s game with 4 wins in their last 5 outings, a very good run which Bootle will be highly aware of in today’s game. Anthony Kay’s side currently sit 8th in table as mentioned but if they continue with the current form they’re in they could be seriously considered for play offs at the end of the season, a win today would put them closer to reaching that objective.
