Bootle open the new year with an away fixture to the gaffer Mick McGraa’s former club Vauxhall Motors, who are currently sitting second in the league with 52 points.
By Brendan Doyle
Bootle have had quite the positive start to the year 2025 having not lost any games so far, in their last two fixtures The Bucks have managed to keep two consecutive clean sheets which were both at home in a 2-0 win against Clitheroe and a 0-0 draw to Newcastle Town.
It’s been a thriving season so for The Motormen, as mentioned they sit second in the table and are just four points away from top with an extra game to play than leaders Widnes. The last time the two sides played each other was in August on a bank holiday Monday which seen Vauxhall Motors win 6-3 after being 3-0 down, so they have every right to believe that today could be a comfortable home win.
